前沿（Frontiers）系列期刊是由教育部主管、高等教育出版社主办和出版、Springer等公司海外发行的系列英文学术期刊，旨在集中高校科研优势，凝聚国内科研力量，建设一个中国自有品牌的国际学术交流平台。

前沿系列期刊于2006年创刊，涵盖基础科学、工程技术、生命科学、人文社会科学众多领域，是目前国内覆盖学科最广的系列英文学术期刊，

前沿系列期刊数据库共含31种全英文学术期刊，保持更新的期刊27种，其中自然科学类20种，人文社会科学类7种，定位于反映各学科领域的最新研究成果和发展趋势。

从2010年起期刊陆续缩短刊期，由季刊变为双月刊、月刊。系列期刊在出版方式上采用单篇在线优先出版（Online First），保证文章以最快速度发表。后附期刊列表及具体创刊时间。

前沿系列期刊执行严格的同行评议制度，编委会成员及评审专家日趋国际化，已获取了越来越多的海内外高质量学术文章，逐步被海外学者所接受。截至目前，期刊海外全文下载量累计达到400余万篇次。

前沿系列中的医学、机械、物理、化工、计算机、环境、能源、土木和蛋白质与细胞等9种期刊先后入选“中国科技期刊国际影响力提升计划”，《工程》（Engineering）入选“中国科技期刊登峰行动计划”。
